1. Introduction

BakeDesk ("we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information processed through our booking and schedule management dashboard (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, the lawful purposes for which it is used, how it is retained and safeguarded, and the rights available to you.

2. Information We Collect

Basic profile information via Google Sign-In. Where you elect to authenticate using a Google account, we receive only basic profile information — namely your name, email address, and account identifier. We do not request, receive, or store your Google password, contacts, files, calendar data, or any other Google service data.

Account information. Where you register using email and password, we collect your email address and a securely hashed representation of your password.

Business and operational data. Information you voluntarily enter into the dashboard, such as your shop name, menu items, pricing, availability, payment instructions, and the order records submitted by your customers.

Technical data. Limited log and diagnostic information (such as timestamps and error reports) generated automatically for the purpose of maintaining service security and reliability.

3. How We Use Information

Personal information is processed exclusively for the purpose of providing and maintaining a functional dashboard experience, including: authenticating your account, displaying your profile, storing and presenting your shop configuration and orders, delivering operational notifications relating to your orders, and providing technical support.

We do not undertake any processing beyond what is necessary for these operational purposes.

4. No Sale of Data and No Targeted Advertising

We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for consideration under any circumstances.

We do not use your personal information — including information obtained through Google Sign-In — for advertising, behavioural profiling, audience building, or targeted marketing of any kind, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

5. Service Providers

We engage a limited number of processors strictly to operate the Service, including cloud hosting and database providers and a transactional email provider used to deliver order notifications. These processors act only on our documented instructions, are bound by confidentiality obligations, and may not use the information for their own purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. Upon deletion of your account, associated personal information is deleted or irreversibly anonymised within a reasonable period, save where retention is required by applicable law.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls restricting each shop owner's data to that owner, and least-privilege administrative access.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and request a portable copy of the data you have provided. Account deletion is available directly within the dashboard settings, and requests may otherwise be submitted to the contact address below.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from such individuals.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email prior to taking effect.
